When you really want a white Christmas in 2008 it is a good start to make it a green one, with todays led technology you are able to replace the expensive christmas lights with durable christmas led lights; not only you will save the environment but you can also enjoy these lights the rest of your life!

Outdoor Christmas led-lights ? yes they do exist; even solar powered. We will tell more about this in a later post.

Consumer Reports report that LED systems saves you $10 dollar per every 300 hours, lasting up to 100,000 hours (based on the fact that when the light output has depreciated to less than 50 percent the light source has effectively expired). Obviously these are American numbers so for an European the amount saved is a lot higher; also due the use of Christmas lights which are only used during Christmas time, they should last over a 130 years (based on 30 days of use each year) , by that time they might be a bit outdated.
